I'm going to start buying land around the big cities. And 0ffer parking at $6.00 for 12 hours.
Then hire a ticket kid at the gate to let you and out. Rent a porta john. Hire another kid to keep the lot clean on a semi-weekly basis.
It wount be 12 hours on the needle. Maybe 30 to 40 min. Window before the next charge, prorated of course.
Think ill start with Indy, in and some where between alanta and Macon ga, and work my way west. I'm think 15 to 25 spots.
Any feed back will help. Safe lot with lights, two dumpsters, and some one to pick up the bottles that the drivers are to lazy to throw away when they get fuel.
Not a troll post. In Greenville in. I waited so long to park I had to go on duty to avoid hos v. So I want to help others.
Parking,

Just because having a ticket stub say that you are not responsible for damages or theft. doe not mean that you are not responsible.Bean Jr., NavigatorWife, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this. -
That's exactly a business plan.
I'd also arrange for a road coach to offer food and those big theater screens from 60s to watch movies through windshields...maybe a titty bar whenever local ordinances allow...
Lol
American truck stops getting new life!
You should have not post it here...someone may beat you to it now.ProfessionalNoticer, Bean Jr., NavigatorWife and 3 others Thank this. -

Why should a driver park in your, presumably, dirt lot with porta-potty’s and no amenities like food?
But more importantly, how can your business plan justify the huge cash or financing outlay for that low of income? I don’t see how you pay the workers and electricity, let alone the land cost.bzinger, NavigatorWife, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this. -

Some may be dirt lots. But as this truck sucks in mud. Less than half would be mud. When I lived in va, a junk yard got his whole yard concerted just buy letting the companies dump there extra at the end of the day.
As far as huge cash out lay, I will get back to you on that. When I was in Forrest park ga, it was 15.00 for 10.00 hours. And he couldn't keep it empty. 24/7 he was full. His deal was location. It was right in the part of town where the industry's where about ten mins away.
So easy in and easy out.TallJoe Thanks this. -
@nredfor88 What I see the biggest obstacle being is advertise ment. How can I get you to want to park there. Clearly 25 trucks don't warrant a store.
The goal is not to get rich. But to help the drivers sleep in a safe quiet environment. We have enough stress in what we do. Why get mad trying to back in our pull out of a spot. Id make decent on the coffee up charge I'm sure.NavigatorWife Thanks this.
