    And a torpedo of the era was about 500 mm in diameter and 7 meter long so took up about 1.4 m3. Could load it up in 4 or 5 torpedo slots.

    The cannisters didn't look that big. Given my ancestors passion for efficiency I imagine they were packed neatly into a cargo slot someplace. There are a lot of people freaked about it having enriched uranium cargo as well, but no radioactivity has been detected and it's not on the cargo list.
