Both. LOL, but I did have waaaaay too much weight in it. Gonna have to rethink how I store my chains.

Then one of the other dummies used my trailer one day when I was off and crashed into the box with the Moffett right where the crack was and made it worse.

Keen transport used to sell a chain box that they mounted to the frame rail ,so you can get to the chains from the ground.

I always thought that was the way to go…. At least with a RGN or step….

Ive been looking and looking for that about the past 6 months, know ive seen em on the road, didnt know if they were custom or not.

If you MUST put chains in boxes, grab some channel, bolt on bottom, legs down and toss a peice of plywood 1/2" or larger inside box, and a concrete slurry pan works well, total cost, about 100$, better than having to rebuy a box

I’d call Keen during the day and talk to the garage and ask them. I think they fab them up…….

I have seen a frame mounted storage system like this where the tarps are strapped on top.
The whole thing is bolted together from 3 boxes (2 with full length doors and 1 with 2 swing doors)

So I picked up my 53’ Fontaine trailer and while I was talking to the shop manager my wife went inside and surprised me with a trailer tool box she purchased from the dealer 18”x18”x60” because she said the box on the deck would look ugly lol.

Have a question though and I probably should have asked the dealer.Specs say that electric dump valve wired to 7-way auxiliary socket to dump rear axle. How does that work?

You will need a switch in cab wired up so you can dump rear axle for turns etc. sounds like yours is wired up to your 7 way. You’ll have to figure out which pin is dump valve. Test light or ask them.
