I’m always concerns about how clean their showers will be. So instead, buying a portable shower seems to work. Do any of you truckers have a portable shower in their sleeper? If yes, answer here!! And how well it is. (I know this is kinda a odd question to answer)…
A normal sleeper, not much room. You would need water above your head, a place to catch the runoff water. A mini shower would need 5 gal minimum and that's not much of a shower. But do-able I suppose.
Get a spray bottle and clean it before you use it even if it looks clean. You could try that right? All the flat surfaces. Wear flip flops, try not to touch anything with your hands. Ask for extra towels to put you stuff on. Just trying to help. I am more worried about the people cooking and touching all the food myself. People just don't do a good job anymore at the Truckstops. Really a Shame.
There is a thread here if you search enough. Someone put one in his sleeper. Has a drain and everything. I believe he was a flat bedder just tired of waiting for showers like you see all the time at the truck stops. I was thinking of perhaps the catwalk using this: Amazon.com : Dr. Prepare Portable Camping Shower, 4 Gallons/15L Outdoor Electric Camp Shower with Rechargeable Air Pump, Upgraded Screw Lid, Two Spray Modes, Solar Shower for Beach, Camping, Hiking Trip : Sports & Outdoors Also this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AT3T0GC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_66S3FJN7DHMJETYWQWKN It is nice that it is pop up and you can store it easily. Water is free at the hooks (Flying J), Pilots and Loves at the pumps if they have them working.
Truck stop owners and managers could solve the shower problem very easy and wash them showers down in seconds. High pressure washer with a good soap. Just spray them down after each use and there wouldn't be shower line up's. Just sayin.
I used to work with pressure washers at one of my first jobs and that's too much risk to trust with people who won't even change out the old hot dogs. My boss slipped up and had his hand contact the wand while the trigger was pulled. His hand blew up like a balloon and he needed surgery and a pump to not lose it.
Could be built into the walls where no human came in contact with it. Only have to fill the soap dispenser and turn it on. Can do everything else robotically.
