Best way to set up Air Lines on back of tractor

I have the 3 in 1Airlines that are wrapped in that heavy black coiled material.

The thing is they are really really long. I'm not sure how short I can make them. I don't want to mess myself up and cut them too short.

Does anybody have a photo of the right way to set that up?

 

Don’t cut them. They sell them in different lengths.

 

I've already had them on the truck for maybe a year. They just are way too long.

 

You can add another hose tender. Those long lines are a service call waiting to happen if they're touching the deck plate.

One good jack knife and they're hung on the fifth wheel plate, step, or frame huck. As soon as you straighten up you're screwed.

 

Just reroute them using a pogo stick or buy the shorter set.
Otherwise you’re only other option is to cut them and rewire your pigtail.

 

That's what I want to do I want to cut them down and rewire the plug. They're just too long I don't think there's anything I could do to use them like they are. I've already cut them down some but they really need to be cut down.

A photo of how they're set up with a hanger and all of that would be really helpful.

I'm about a phone call away from just buying a set of coiled Airlines and saying forget them for now.

 

I've seen it several times. Some guys use like a retractable rope kinda like the dog leash to pull up the slack.
But that's just for single lines. I don't know about your heavy onesm. I would buy shorter ones and keep those under bunk.

 

Make a loop in the lines, then attach one end of spring to your tracker bar and other end to the top of that loop. I’m not near my truck right now so can’t take a pic.
