Tyson Foods to Require COVID-19 Vaccinations for its U.S. Workforce

Perhaps they discover a new strand of the flu each year so you have to change it. The flu has not been eradicated because there are still many people who don't get the flu vaccine. Some them catch it, and naturally it spreads. The stuff that's basically obsolete have come from people routinely getting those vaccines over the years, chicken pox come to mind. As time passes and modern medicine takes over, people get more educated and ultimately it becomes a non factor. When's the last time you heard of a child catching the pox? You gotta understand that it ain't going to be a quick fix to eradicate or at least minimize covid, but they have to start somewhere. At least they are trying to improve conditions, we could be like some places and go back to a lockdown. These folks just want hurry and get back to normalcy.

 

The government is leaving the choice up to everyone. I don't know why every one thinks the government is trying to force the vaccine. Encouraging is not the same as coercing.

 

There's billions of dollars at stake making this vaccine. We aren't going back to normal until this cow is milked dry.

 

There's a new federal mandate that forces all government employees to get it. I wouldn't call that "encouragement".

 

Is this encouraging people??…no and this is the problem right here..let the people decide what they feel is best for them..

Well.....a city as congested as NYC, that may not be a bad idea. What works for one city can't go for all. They'll be the first to get back to normalcy at least. Again, I don't think it should be mandated, but I don't blame their leaders for making that call. It's too large of a population not to go a little to the extreme, and being the city that never sleeps, they will do what they feel is necessary to live up to that moniker. My previous post was more in reference to the federal government. States and cities will do as they please.

 

So you believe that the gov't is not working behind the scenes to encourage companies to require their employees to take the shots? The propaganda/marketing campaign to take the shots is overwhelming, if you have the eyes and ears to understand it. Oh sure, the gov't can have plausible deniability, because they let private companies do the dirty work of mandating the shots. Oldest trick in the book, "you can fool some of the people, some of the time, some of the people, all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time".

 

Government is mandating federal employees.

we are regulated by the federal government. It won’t take that long to force truckers into getting vaccinated.

You didn’t live under communism you don’t know how and what they will do to get what they want.

You're right. I've never lived under communism. Even we truckers got mandated to get it, I would think this is a far cry from communism. It is still a lot of freedom here, maybe too much in some instances, lol. I mean, what's supposed to happen? I guess we are just supposed to sit here and do nothing, and hope it doesn't take down everyone. Citizens I think are ultimately going to give up something. The vaccine or another lockdown: I think I'll take the vaccine.
