Have fun but keep it clean or they will delete

Glad you asked,,, current regulations and ELD's limit how long you can drive, but years ago, it was common for me to leave at midnight, run all night, all the next day, all that next night, with maybe a quick nap, and a LOT of coffee, dawn of that next morning was tough, but if I could make it to daylight, all that next day, but that was it, I had to sleep after that. Going around a scale used to be a regular thing. There were no ELD's or electronic gizmos to tell your location, weight, destination, etc., and there are no laws ordering you which way to go, as long as it's a truck route, again, common sense, you don't want to take a route that clearly looks like you are breaking the law. Fact is, I went around more scales than I went over, sometimes an hour out of my way, but never got caught. My bosses loved me for it,( I hauled some real ball-busters on a single axle tractor for Crystal Farms) I told them, I'm just doing my job. Being a regional driver, it was easy to do that, and I wasn't alone. A CB radio was your best guarantee of making it. Today, you'd be a fool to do that, the extra you might make being heavy or out of hours, won't cover the fine and record. They sucked all the fun out of it!

One of my longest run was from IN to midwest of MO to OH then back home to IN can't remember the miles I was picking up a load of sows.
Other than that it would be those back to back feeder pig loads but I get a little bit of rest in the middle of them so I can't count themTrucker61016 and tangerineGT Thank this.
