If I get my plates through the company I lease thru, can I take the plate when I leave the company?
If I get my plates through a company, do they go with me?

You can run your own plates even if leased on to a company which might be a good idea if you are not sure you will stay with the next company
That said
You turn in your plates and companies I have leased to or heard of will sell the remaining part of your plate to the next guy and reimburse you
I have always ran my own with the exception of the past couple years but when I left the last company in June my new plate that was only a couple months old was 15th in line for resale
That says two things. A lot of O/O left right after getting new plates and that 15 need to come on for me to see any $$
I think they’ll expire before they get sold -

The one now is weekly but not sure how they work it if I leave
I’ve always ran my own but bought a new truck and dealer messed up my paperwork and I needed plates ASAP and grabbed company plates
After this year I’ll be back on my ownBean Jr. Thanks this.
