Maybe just take a couple days off?
Pick a fun place and put in for hometime.
Then, as mentioned above, burn that clock coming out after and force a reset…. Rinse; Repeat

I have gotten pretty good about forcing a reset near Hesperia, and Vegas.Last edited: Aug 17, 2021

Speaking of home time… took a little extra time off this coming weekend. Both to catch up with home time that went sideways in July and a little planned mini vacay for our 10th Anniversary.
Dropping in Ellabell at 0730 and they just said to head home after. Which is two days early but I’m not going to complain. Been in this truck a bit too long and with one of the extra days I will swing through Savannah for a night to visit with my oldest and the son-in-law then head home a day early.
Can’t wait to see that dang honey do list.IH9300SBA, runningman0661, Crusader66 and 1 other person Thank this. -
That's disappointing to hear. Miles are one thing but they really denied you a 34 hour reset after a whole month of driving without a day off, much less 2 - 4 months straight without a day off?IH9300SBA Thanks this.

I forgot to ask does FCC allow drivers the option to have some of their pay be per diem pay instead of regular pay if they want? Or is per diem not an option for company drivers?
I'm not talking about "extra" money being paid but having a percentage of your salary be per diem (at my old OTR company for each day we worked $63 out of our gross pay was paid in per diem and we didn't have to pay taxes on that).dwells40 Thanks this. -
Yes, I believe you can either choose per diem or straight pay. At least that was the way it was when I was still a company driver.BeHereNow97 Thanks this.

Hey forgot to ask do you guys use load bars or straps or both to secure your loads?

Straps.

Have you done a preliminary online app yet

No. I still can't decide which company I want to go with. Obviously every company might not want me and I know that, but I still want to narrow it down. I really hate switching jobs it's a pain, so I want to try to be absolutely sure before I go somewhere.M22 rockcrusher Thanks this.
