KLTV out of Texas is reporting that there was a message for Arrow truckers sent out that they have until Thursday morning to return their trucks or they will have theft charges filed against them. That's a pretty low blow to employees that have been working for years for Arrow Trucking, and who may still be on route to far-off destinations in the United States. The fact that some of these drivers didn't find out that they were being laid off until they tried to re-fuel their trucks is about as bad as it can get from an employee standpoint.

There is a link to the news report at the bottom of the link

Here is a phone number for them to call to get a bus ticket home. 877-294-9679.

They will need to give their name , employee number.

Daimler Chrysler is getting drivers to drop off trucks and getting them a bus ticket home before Christmas.

Also they can drop off their trucks at any ATC Freightliner location and contact the number above for a bus ticket.

    ATC Freightliner locations-

    Corp office / OKC
    Tulsa Ok
    Dallas TX
    Fort Worth TX
    Irving TX

Roadmedic, this makes me SICK! I can't even begin to say what I think, but I am sure that you can figure it out. I'd get myself banned if I said it, or even hinted at it.

But thank you for posting it.

    That is very low.

But I'd take it to court and make Arrow prove that there was enough fuel to turn them in.
A good lawyer will get those charges thrown out or even turned around on to Arrow. If they owe the driver wages and this is his only recourse I don't see a court convicting unless the driver kept the equipment after being paid.

I talked to my friend frm school and he was a mess, he was so wxcited he got the job with Arrow and was training, then the rug got pulled from under his feet. He has a wife and young kids at home and they are not in good financial shape.
I wired him some money for food, rental car and money to get home on, his trainer is taking the truck home.

Geesh, it was just a few weeks ago that he and I were having coffee and talking about working for Arrow, we were the only two in our class interested in flatbedding, I decided not to go with Arrow because there were more promising flatbedding opportunities on the horizon for me after the first of the year. Otherwise, I would of gone of to Arrow with him.
This poor kid, he went with werner right out of school, that was a mistake for him, so he went to Roehl, that didn't go well and then th school told us about Arrow hiring and he was the first to apply.... He hoped it would work and knew he had to stick it out no matter what for at least a year.... that was his plan... now this....
