I just turn the little knob on the heater a bit more if it's not warm enough. And pay for some more of that cheap Wyoming electricity that is down wind from me so I don't care about the emissions.

Have you ever burned Madrone? I have a lot of them on my property and they burn hot long and hardly any ash.

Never heard of it, sounds like a hardwood. We dont have hardwood around my area... Except for the few that folks have planted in thier yards.

I bought a big bathroom vanity off Craigslist. The Guy had a wood burner in the basement of his big beautiful newer home. Converted a window, to get it in. He Owned a small Fleet of Straight Trucks. Reminded Me of the old coal chutes in the old homes. We Still had the old coal room, and our furnace was a coal burner, converted to gas. Gigantic thing, looked like a giant robot from lost in space. Gravity den, no blower. Huge trunk ducts, wrapped in asbestos.
