Hi everyone, just wondering what boots you guys used for driving. I use redwings but it is time for a new pair, I found this brand/boot and I thought it would look pretty good, but perhaps a bit overkill? Mine are composite toe and water proof also. I like having it for the winter time and you never know when it may come in handy and save your toe! Plus the soft toe version of this is only $30 less so it's a no brainer. Thoughts? Recommendations? Thanks

Can't decide which sole color to pick. I like the beige looking ones a bit more.

    I prefer pull-on boots vs. lace-up.
Last pair I bought at Boot Barn were these with steel toe. Can spray Scotch Guard or Kiwi boot spray for extra water proof protection.

This video seems pretty good also. If someone else has my same question.

Very nice. I have a similar one but in black.

Reminds me of the oilfield days.

I haven't worked the oil fields. The boots I bought were comfortable for driving and working in trucking though. I prefer the slip on because they're easy to slip on and off when tired or just getting out of the bunk.

I like the 6" ones since that's what I have, it is more like a shoe. The slip ons are still nice and wouldn't mind using them if I were working outside more, especially in mud/snow or puddles.

Irish setter pull on's for summer and Carolina 28s 800g insulation for winter

For me these are more comfy than red wings and last 3yrs on avg. Deff too hot to wear in the summer with 800g. I can be in them all day and my feet don't get sore. Stand in water all day and keeps your feet dry. If your not moving around much outside 800g is what you want. I can be comfy at 10-15 degrees with just 1 pair of socks. Order your winter boots 1/2 or a full size bigger. Give your toes room to breathe. Too tight and it cuts off circulation and has the opposite effect, your feet will get colder sooner
