People used to rebuild everything, used to be able to buy rebuild kits for starters and alternators at the local parts stores. Insurance now just wants to scrap it and have you buy new, not sure how that's any cheaper for either party involved.

I do appreciate your thoughts and opinions from the expereience you have @okiedokie . It is one of those roads i have been up and down 100+ times in the last 2 years no problems... just glad im here to write about it. They told me im the first one to ever survive a rollover on that road

More then you would think to be honest. Mine ate a honda that twerked the frame and did over 50k in damage on a 70k truck and they didnt total it. I have great west and it is 80% of value or more to total on my plan. And i can commiserate on the problems aspect.

That said yikes. I have seen wrecks like that on mountain roads that killed the driver. You got lucky and im glad you walked away.

Like I said I wasn't there. What escapes me is why the trailer ended up off the hard pan. You mentioned it might of slid so there's that. Which would definitely pull you over. Like this poor fella.

Well it is on the side of a mountain so its not mcuh room for error. There have been a couple rollovers on that road. Mostly during winter time when its snowing and ice.

You can see loose screed, i kinda think tibbits "too fast for curve" sliding trailer around is quite plausible.
