Driver should know the schedule and if its not their cup of tea dont sign up.
I’m familiar with many Walmart and Amazon loads and none are long hours or demanding at all.

I pulled quite few Amazon loads and yes they scheduled me for 14 hrs a night. I still have some screenshots from Amazon Relay App to prove it.

that’s the block bookings. I’ve done Amazon loads and the schedule most of the time allows you 2-3 extra hours most of the time if not more.

for instance last load I did 600 miles, 300 loaded and 300 coming back empty. I had 9 hours to get there take a 10 and 9 hours to get back. Did it in 10.5 hours same day and was done with it.

You won't find a Amazon truck going even within 5mph of the speed limit between Seattle & Portland . They also stay in that middle lane even on grades though Wa has a 10mph difference in speed limits between trucks & cars. It's a coin toss between who are the worst knuckleheads on I-5. Amazon or Containers.

So you go to a M&P to buy Amazon deliveries off the shelf?

From what I’ve seen you won’t find an Amazon truck going within 5 mph of the speed limit ANYWHERE!!lol

block bookings are the ones where they pay for the block and you can be literally moving empty trailers 1 mile away. You do your initial load and if time is left over they’ll add more work. I stay away from that, they tend to add stops and other bs.

that is because they aren’t owner ops and don’t know how to deal with the guard shack guys and don’t care. I’ve picked up and delivered loads earlier then scheduled.

I get paid for my time and mile I’m not gonna do 600 miles in 2 days. I do it in 1. 5 over limit if 65 but 75 max for me no matter where.

    alds Thanks this.

is it worth it to switch over from reefer to doing loads for Amazon?
I'm based out of LOS ANGELES and love to travel the 48 states...can I catch a load from LA to NY then to Florida then to Seattle?
    does it work like that?
