Other than an enclosed pen covered with mesh... Personally, I'm a big fan of SSS.

Well, sent a silicone plug through the lines, nada. Cut open the desiccant filter/accumulator, nada. Opened up the back of the compressor and found it in the reed valve/head whatever you call it. I've never had it happen before, but from now on, I'll make sure there's no vacuum on the system when I pull a line off. Gotta say, I like the crush washer seals much better for this reason alone.

 

A rooster
Have them in a fenced run, with mesh over top
Cover the water and feeders
Shiny Mylar. 2 or 3 foot squares that work like mirrors. Stretch over a wood frame, place so it is above the chickens, but can be easily moved.

Shoot them in the neck. At the very least, they will be unable to laugh.

 

Scratch that. Just found out that there is a subsonic 22LR round available.
