You keep quoting that but fail to see or comprehend that what you’re quoting doesn’t say a driver has to do a pretrip. Nobody here is saying not to check your equipment. We are all saying that nowhere does it say a pretrip is required or that the driver has to do it. Slow down and read what you keep quoting and let it sink in before you type.

You are proving more than 1 proverb. None of them flattering. Why dont you go on the Fed site or even JJ Keller. . Stop telling drivers they are not required ti do a Pre Trip. Or post trip. They are. It is Black and white. The fact that you prople choose to ignore it ,

Or maybe if you learned to read. I mean I could pull out the crayons to illustrate, but my wife is busy using them to teach kindergarten and doesn't want to waste them in someone that has reading disabilities.

You can’t post a single thing to prove what you are saying. And now you’ll post the regulation you keep quoting that doesn’t say what you claim it says. This circle was entertaining for a day and I kind of hope you’re trolling a little to pass the time but I’m not sure you are.

There is nothing that says a driver is required to do a pretrip, only that they are satisfied their equipment is safe. Those are two entirely different things. If a pretrip was required then the regulation you keep quoting would define exactly what a pretrip is and also what all needs to be checked. Instead, the green book lists things like what lights are required, minimum tread depth, etc and it says that as a driver we have to be satisfied our truck meets those safety requirements. Now, what’s the most common way to reach that conclusion? A vehicle inspection by the driver. But there are other ways for me, as a driver, to be satisfied that my truck is in working order without doing a pretrip. For example, I pay the Petro to inspect my truck because I feel like eating breakfast or something. They’ve signed off that everything is good to go and that satisfies my need to know that it’s all in working order without me doing a pretrip. Now if I had unlimited money I could do that every day I’m on the road and never once log a pretrip inspection because paying to have it done satisfies my need to know that my truck is safe.

So I’m not sure how else to explain it at this point. You’re not comprehending the wording of the regulation you keep posting and you’re saying I’m telling drivers not to inspect their trucks. I’m not, you’re just hung up on that. The regulation says the driver has to be satisfied their equipment is safe and you’re saying the driver is required to do a pretrip and even though the most common way for that to happen is an inspection by the driver it’s not required. There are other ways.

Because you can't read. If it wasn't a regulation it would not be allowed in a court of law as part of a lawsuit.

See, I'd ask to show such a lawsuit, but as you've yet to even show the regulation you can't show a lawsuit based on said non existent regulation.

Let me ask you a serious question. Do you enjoy looking like a fool? I can't see any other reason, even being a troll, as to why you keep pushing this when you've been shown time and again what you are claiming is not in the regulations.

Hard to argue with "binary programmed " generation. They can't comprehend if something is between 0 and 1. No common sense.
Decades back it was only sign "....lane closed ahead" turned in to " .....lane closed ahead. Merge ....." Today it's " ..... lane closed ahead. Merge..... now."
Maybe they need definition what is "before"?
