Technically Arrow would probably still be responsible. If you read your finance paperwork The Buyer is responsible for all damage incurred by and to the seller while gaining custody of the vehicle If you were to call say Daimler before you move the truck they can hire you as a tempoary agent to move the vehicle. I do not know if that is what they are doing but I know they can, it is how BofA used to handle Repos back in the 70's and early 80's.

Just a guess... Technically a Repo.

Not a repo if they are using the driver from Arrow and only paying them to get a bus ride home. It falls to the driver who would have to share with the insurance company from Arrow. They would do anything they could to remove themselves from it.

When someone is hired to do the repo, they are covered from the company doing the hiring. I really doubt these companies are going to consider the driver as a temporary agent. Agents usually carry additional insurance and etc.

I spoke to an Arrow Driver yesterday who had his load transferred onto a TMC truck for delivery, dropped the truck and empty trailer at a Freightliner in MO and then got a ride home with the TMC driver. He collected a $200 comchek when he handed in the truck so for that part he came out of it with at least something. Not enough to compensate for losing his job and not getting paid by Arrow but like I say - at least it is something.

I'm guessing that $200 probably came from Freightliner / Daimler Chrysler, NOT Arrow... If Freightliner is getting these trucks back, it's probably cheaper for them to pay the driver $200 to bring it in than to pay a tow truck $1,000 plus to go do a repo.

If Arrow did survive....who would be foolish enough to drive for them again after the way the showed how much they really "care" for there drivers, not to mention what reputable company would ever ship with them again seeing how millions of dollars of product is stranded around the country?

I read a news article earlier that said Arrow was in bankruptcy since April 09?

No different than CRE and their lease deal. Who would think anyone would go there with all the bad publicity and look on this Site every week someone questions the negativity and goes there anyway... matter of fact there is a couple there right now from this site....:biggrin_2556:
