I'm glad you used your brain on that one.Schneider, take over the facility? The customer and the way they want their operation ran will stay the same. Only
thing that will change is the color of the tractors and who the drivers that work for them are paid by.
Never would have noticed that, thx! Can you hold my hand across the street too?
At and not For? is it impossible to be both? Werner works for family dollar and so does the driver, period.
Thats what I was saying to begin with, there would be few differences being
employed by schn rather then werner. Is why I said you are in a werner unit
pullin fd trailers. Guess its just a logo on the side of the trailer.
If you want to argue for the sake of arguing we could do this all night. And I enjoy a good argument but Im goin to sleep.

A512... Did you ever work for Werner and were you ever on a Family Dollar dedicated account? Please let us know if you liked it, how long you were on that particular account and how did it pay compared to other accounts you were on. Did you prefer a dedicated run, regional, or 48 state. Also did you run DV or TCU? I believe this is a thread that Jim started asking about good experiences that drivers have had at Werner. So any information would be helpful.

Werner drivers work for Family Dollar ? Do they get a paycheck from them ? Do they have to turn a copy of their logs , mvr , and long form physical in to Family Dollar ? Any company that employs drivers must have that on file .
I once worked for a company that had the contract to deliver the boxes to U-Haul . The contract specified boxes would be offloaded into a specified area in a bay . One manager told me to bring the boxes to inventory in the store . Nope , not in the contract . He turned 3 shdes of red and told me I couldn't deliver to any of his stores . He was over 3 around Birmingham . Fine . I called dispatch and brought the rest of the load back . The next week my manager showed me a copy of a messge sent to all U-Haul centers . The box delivery contract was written under specific conditions . Drivers couldn't keep schedules if they stocked shelves like Coca Cola drivers . I worked for the supply company , not U-Haul . That mnger was a big jerk and bullied all his employees . They always had big smirk on their face when I delivered after that and brought the paperwork to the desk and said to the manager "O.K. Hank . Everything is in the bay " -
the trlr" your the one who wanted to argue. So dont go off sayin things
like "I believe this is a thread that Jim started asking about good
experiences that drivers have had at Werner. So any information would
be helpful" after you yourself have done just what you are tellin me not too.
Dont start the argument in the first place if you don't wanna lose.
Just logos on the side of the trlr. lol And as far as rickg, why dont you use
your brain and apply it if u have one. Either that or don't make bogus statements of
how "Boy, you dont know much, you think drivers are family dollar employees"..its
prety obvious that I am aware werner drivers are werner drivers working for a
dedicated contract at and for a fd dc. If swift was running at a fd, next day jb came in.
You quit swift and began working for jb, do you think you would notice much difference
as far as "who you work for"? huh? Originally what was said is
a driver said "i drive for werner out of a fd dc in odesa tx and am happy with werner"
i said"ya but you pull for fd/pull fd trlrs in a werner unit" was trying to say that working
on a fd contract and not have been on 48, regional, which is essentially werner, not fd, has
no bearing on whether someone would be happy there or not..its not really werner, its fd.
Anyone agree?
And as far as what this thread was about in the first place. I drove on a reg accnt and was happy at werner.
I also temped at a DG,Walmart and a HD if you must know. In my opinion, the company you are employed by when
working on one of those dedicated accounts has little to no reflection on the company itsself.Last edited: Dec 25, 2009

"you're happy at that company" as advice on whether or not theyd like
it there-all i was sayin to begin with. There would be more similarities
then differences switching 2 companys and stayin on same accnt, then say..
quiting swift 48/switchin to schn 48. no reflection on the company itsself
unless from a dedicated account point of view.Last edited: Dec 27, 2009
