Question for you.
Daf now has models that are longer and allowed under the new rules.
Do other manufacturers have the right to be longer?
Are their models compliant for the new rules?

 

not with current cabs, they need new homologation for them, i guess they all work on this, maybe not some entry brands.
co2 reduction imposed to manufacturers to cut by 15% till 2025 require all kind of things, best engine cant do job, 2.2 axle ratio cant help, class A tires cant help.

they are not yet, scania with extended cab and volvo do not comply. you need improved aerodinamics, crash zone and improved visibility in order to gain right for extra sleeper length

 

this axles are probably strongest hypoid axles on market. Regular ones are bit on edge with lstest scandinavian weights. This one axle is strong same as two regular ones.

Volvo offers liftable drive axle on hub reduction. Strange part is thst MB offers them only in Brazil.

 

Can you order a scania with the 750 hp V8 and a manual transmission… like a 18 speed eaton ?

But I must admit that quality of Volvo has dropped really badly, this truck was supposed to be picked up last friday, but when I tried to open the door, I pulled door handle out of door Some really strange problems on facelift model.

 

I thought the Netherlands didn’t like extra axles………
