I dont need another truck . was just thinking of trading mine in for something new if the opportunity presents itself. Even when my truck gets fixed. I wonder how many little things are going to start rearing their head after being flipped into the ditch

Hope the Truck comes out good. Quite an asset to have now. For Work, or For Sale. Nothing but Opportunity on your horizon.

I’d run your truck for a year or so see how it is the either fix it up or dump it for a new one…..

I would look at running BlueBird for a while. Just put the money you were sending to the finance company into a separate "new to you truck/Maintenance account". In a year or so you should be able to trade up.
The increase in prices are from a shortage of truck inventory caused by the truck manufacturers that are having problems getting new trucks finished and out the door because of supply line problems. That lack of new trucks is causing major carriers to hold their trucks a bit longer drying up the supply of used. That supply drop has combined with higher demand as new players are trying on the owner operator/small fleet panties.
My bet would be that some of the supply/demand economics corrections will happen about the spring of 2023 when the supply chain will get better and the normal spring softening will flush a bunch of those fools.JolliRoger, homeskillet, Wasted Thyme and 7 others Thank this.
