    So you are saying a 3 day water fast will dehydrate you? Actually the opposite you will be more hydrated than ever because you are drinking lots of water only and enabling Autophagy which will start a process of actual healing of all sorts of things. Autophagy - Wikipedia

    What you linked to and are now describing is a simple "fast", not a "water fast" (which implies going without water or any other liquids). Though you might have said "water only fast".

    One note. Some sources suggest trying to not go with zero calories (water only), but trying to limit your intake to less than 10 calories to still maintain "autophagy". But try to also take in electrolytes (potassium, magnesium, etc.) in one form or another while fasting. I've seen drinking high quality 'bone broth' recommended for this purpose.

    What I linked to is about extended water only fasting 24-72hrs or more, 36 being the Autophagy (bodies repair mode) point for most and increasing in benefits the longer you go. Basically the more obese you are the longer you should and could do it because you have stored excess energy "fat" otherwise typical intermittent fasting is enough if just a few pounds overweight. It's done wonders for me and is not about selling a product or some magic pill. I highly recommend it to everyone, most will find it very hard though. I've been doing intermittent fasting for years so it takes some practice in shorter durations, some have been able to do many days from the start.

    I wouldn't take any calories on a fast personally even though many say up to 50 calories is ok, but people vary in what may trigger an insulin response. Typically black coffee is ok, but some will get an insulin response with it alone. Keep it simple and drink water only, things get tricky if you try any "diet" product which are typically processed poison.

    For minerals our body has plenty of it for 40 days, again a product selling gimmick, it's actually talked about in that video I posted. Anytime someone recommends some vitamins or minerals it's generally a red flag for some product placement. If you have headaches you might be having caffeine withdrawals, add some sea salt or Himalayan pink salt. Also depends on how active you are, there's no one way for everyone. I believe the pink salt has helped me on longer fasts more mentally.
