I could care less what happens to GM, Chrysler, and Ford. They should have filed their BK's before stealing bailout money from the taxpayers, but thats a whole different post.
My outrage is not the fact that some drivers needed a little help because they couldn't help themselves, no, it's about that fact that you, for some reason feel that not enough was done, so you are going to trash and tarnish the image of MY profession with your little B.S. protest!
I am an O/O too, and have been driving long enough to see a big difference between now and 10 years ago, mostly damage done by people like you that are new to the industry and just don't know how express themselves in a positive light to the industry.
You need to remember, nobody had to do anything to help, we chose to do it.
Many could of helped, few actually did.

I apologize to all the others out there for my angry tone in my replies. I just get a little pissed when drivers encourage such damaging behavior to the industry. We have enough problems without a-holes like that making things worse.
luvtheroad Thanks this. -

I know there is a lot of BS in this industry. However, I have to say that I have not anddo not receive all the disrespect and crap that many others have and do.
But, then again, I am a respectful person, who is out here to work hard, take care of my equiptment, act and be a professional, and earn what I can.
I do not make no where near 200K, but I did shell out what I could to help... Now, if I was making 200K then I could of and would of done a lot more!
It was good of you to drive those 3 to Oklahoma, and since you are such a philanthropist and desire to improve the industry why not start with youself, become a more respectful person, be and act like a professonal driver and do all you can to improve the image of truck drivers. After you have mastered that you can move on to making other improvements in the industry.miconn, last 1, RickG and 1 other person Thank this. -
I honestly think the OP had the right frame of mind yet failed to express it properly. I gathered from his post that we as drivers do plenty to assist almost all others in need yet we actually recieve little help from others.
I do not think that he meant to really do the truck stop trashing deal. It was clearly expressed incorrectly.
I liked the way he declared that he was out. THAT was sarcastic and made his point quite clearly.
