So the shipping lady walks up to my truck. "I just wanted to ask about your light weight, 32,780 seems REALLY light for a reefer. But now that I see what company your with I'm not concerned, you guys are always light."

Me: "Yeah I have one of the heaviest trucks in the fleet and with full fuel, DEF, and Reefer fuel I light weigh 33,300."

Lady: "If anyone other than your company said that to me I wouldnt believe them, chuckle chuckle."

LOTS of our loads pay by the 100 weight, so my company has very specifically specd out trucks and trailer to be light. If its loaded perfectly I can put 47k in the box and scale legal with 3/4 fuel.

Im not sure they would go for that. That would basically total out my truck . even if i was in it for parts. And they paid labor. But it never hurts to ask. Thanks for giving me the idea

Lol, and my trailer has insulated walls, ceiling, doors, and a 3500 pound cooling unit on the front.

How much fuel capacity do you have? I can hold 200 gallons diesel, 18 gallons DEF, and 35 gallons of reefer diesel.

Yeah thats crazy. Although im heavy for flatbed. I miss out on a couple loads because i cant haul 48k. Lumber loads i always get my rate cut because of it.

But yeah i can hold 200 of diesel and 25 gallon def. Probably 2k pounds of flatbed gear
