if you do 15000 miles in Arizona then ...Arizona has 0.26 tax rate so you multiple 15000 * 0.26 = 3900 and divide that by you MPG ..so 3900 / say 7 = 557 ...how can you pay half of that in IFTA ?

The fuel tax 3rd quarter was 39.5 cents per gal already paid!
That's how IFTA works, you get credit for fuel bought at the pump at the state tax rate whild running up debits at thestate tax rate where you didn't buy fuel and you even it up every quarter..Last edited: Oct 3, 2021

i think i figured it out thanks your guidance. I did not put how many gallons I bought in each state. that's column "I". so now once I looked at my receipts and put how many gallons I bought in each state, the form looks like that - attached files. it is more comparable to how much someone pays who makes 25k miles a quarter ...thnx
