My truck and my fully-loaded trailer were parked at a Walmart overnight, which I do all time, and so do many other truck drivers. Walmart says it's okay as long as it's not more than 24 hours. But when I went back in the morning to get my truck, I saw that half of the parking lot was roped off for some construction that was going to be done. I also saw that my truck and trailer had been MOVED! I know for a fact that this is true because, on my electronic logbook, it shows that someone drove my truck for 1 minute, 19 seconds! I mean, I'm glad that it didn't get towed, but they didn't have any signs posted either. After my truck was moved, someone replaced the windshield cover and locked it back up, trying to make it seem like it hadn't been touched. I'm just trying to find out HOW is this possible? How could a stranger unlock the door, start up the ignition, move it, and lock it up again? Does anyone have any ideas? And what can I do now to protect my truck to make sure that nothing like this can ever happen again? (BTW, they're not making LoJack anymore.) Any help will be appreciated...
Mysterious entry into my truck, and truck moved without my permission.

Most manufacturers only have a handful of keys that they use. If the construction company had the same brand of trucks chances are one of their keys will work.

If no key inside then they'd use something like this
Automotive Lishi - GM (GM39)
Or easier yet a wrecker showed up, caged the brakes and moved the truck.NavigatorWife, OldeSkool, Mattflat362 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Better the construction company move it than you get back and have a wrecker bill under your wiper blade. Parking somewhere like Walmart that’s a chance your taking. What’s scary is how many thieves have a key to fit your truck? Even just the door lock.
NavigatorWife Thanks this.
