No need for a wrecker, the construction company mechanic could cage them and use a winch on their equipment to move it.

But in this case, the E-log showed the truck had been driven.

How do you know they didn't try to page the driver in the store?

Release the brakes using a bolt in the brake chamber.

If they cage the brakes & drag the truck with a piece of equipment, the truck has no brakes. They would be liable for any damage caused. These trucks are plastic, you’re not going to pull a loaded truck even at low speeds with no brakes & not cause any damage once so ever.

caging the brakes & dragging the truck is out folks.

You don't have to fully release the brakes to get it to move. Let a couple drag and it will stop if you pull slow. Half the time I cage one out I let them drag because I'm tired of cranking hard, or I'm over laying in the mud or a pool of water, or a couple of them are giving me problems. We're not talking about towing down the road here.

Make sure two don't ring when you hit the drum with a wrench and it'll be fine. Been there, done that. When you have crews sitting around wasting a couple thousand an hour you do what you have to do.

Find a local place and pay to park with cameras. If your not home very often there has to be a spot or 2 around you that is pay by the day and well worth it. Leaving it at wally world alone would stress me the #### out.

Look for some independent shops with a big lots. Lots of them will be happy to take your business, plus if you don't feel like doing the work its a win win if they're any good. 100 bucks a month in my area. 150 on the high end

If word gets out about this; and can be documented, someone on that crew will be in demand for one fine position. Imagine, having an employe on your crew, who actually comes to work at night hours, encounters a problem with actually working, takes direct simple steps to eliminate the hindrance, resumes work and finishes the job..
