Leaving for vacation in 10 days. Going to Greeley CO to see my brother the 19th-28. Couldn't find any direct flights out of scranton so I've got a layover in Dulles then onto Denver. Enough time in between flights to get steak dinner and a few drinks

 

I still think a weekend trip down to ask some questions about who got a "new" junker and maybe missed a night or two at the bar is in order.
If found he should be encouraged (maybe vigorously) to talk to the local police. His liability insurance I hope can cover the medical bills and ride repairs.

 

Ask all the local scrap yards if anyone brought something in that year range. Slip em a Franklin

 

Going to lay waste to the local Prarie dog population.

 

Have a “ cousin or two “ down that way. Just takes a phone call.

 

Well. ####.

one of my mirror light brackets broke this morning on my way to OKC. Couldn’t find any damage indication elsewhere on that side and I didn’t hear anything bouncing up 287 at 3am so…. Either it just said “I don’t wanna do this anymore, ta ta” or I hit a bird just right.

unloaded in OKC at 10am and Peterbilt by noon. 60 BUCKS later for a piece of metal about 2” in length and two holes on either end i remounted the light………. And it doesn’t seem to work all a sudden. Figured my crimps may suck but the wires are powered so it’s the light now too. Of course truck stops don’t carry the two way amber/red light that I’d need without completely screwing around with the bracket and making adjustments and… well ya get the picture. So. This. Is. Why. I. Can’t. Have. Nice. Things.


Rolling back to Houston for Monday. Gotta grab four minis and head to Miami next week. Looks like an OTIS-sized delivery down there. Sure that’s fun getting a 7 axle into without tearing #### up….
