Are there any GOOD companies with lease/purchase programs? Heard a lot of horror stories about getting ripped off. Thanks in advance.

If you do search you'll find a lot of lease info, most of it bad...These programs are not in place to help you the driver in any way, shape, or form..The companies leasing you the truck make HUGE money off this, thats why they do it....I'm guessing there will be a long line of current O/O's and ex-O/O's (like me) advising you to stay away......

....hence the term "lease/fleece" consider this a warning :biggrin_2557:.....be very careful before proceeding on this path :biggrin_25513:...again you have been warned :yes2557:.....if you are able to purchase a truck by another means then do so.....

JCT seems to have the best program from what I've heard...Meaning, It's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

Most of the lease deals are much worse than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

Give it a few weeks. Allow everything to process... And I bet you'll be able to get a Arrow KW for next to nothing.

check out the JCT thread on this website, simply labeled JCT, in the "discuss your favorite trucking company"
Will find 317 pages of mostly positive information.

I've heard a lot of good things about JCT, but they are very picky. They refused me cause prior to me going to USA Truck most of the companies went out of Business, so they held that against me.

But if you have any funds to put down on a truck there is better ways in getting your own truck. Leasing one from a company your open your self up to either staying with that Company even if your going broke and going to loose the truck anyway or lose what you pay into it if you leave before the term is complete.

When I had Company drivers ask me about leasing one from the Company, I passed on what I heard on here and other forum many times; "Never get your truck from the one who gets you your loads".

I'd be curious the percentage of drivers that actually complete the lease with JCT and how much they paid total for the truck ?? I'll venture a wild guess and say you will pay a lot less by going into a dealer and buying one...
