So a straight truck can have only a plate on the front if it's registered?

So if it's a rental, does it have a dot number, whats it gross weight, but if the tag says apportioned then you only need one plate and it need to be on the front, I drove a straight truck maybe thirty years ago and it had a apportioned plate on the front never any problems

The truck should have registration papers with it along with insurance and inspections, if it's for business purposes you need that, sometimes registration papers will say where to place the tag

i've been assigned trucks with one plate, sometimes 2. i think it depends on the issuing state.

As a rule, straight truck-plate on back, tractor-plate on front. 1 plate States want you to put it on the front of the tractor, which makes sense, regardless, AZ will write you anyway, they want the 1 plate on the back.

Meanwhile........God only knows what, is streaming in from MX unhampered, but plate placement is the current focus in AZ, what a country...

Ca. went from 2 plates to one plate some years back. The reason being the scalemaster can read the front plate or the camera can easier than trying to read the back plate. Straight trucks, 2 plates.
