Spent $187 on this. The dealer next town over wanted $199. Should have checked eBay first... IMG_20211014_134709834_HDR.jpg
Then my mechanic calls and tells me that the tires he priced me last month went up $30 a tire. Crap. Thinking I may just buy a set of drives now too.

@OLDSKOOLERnWV that was the article I had read, or a publication on it. Lots of history and death. Ambush and murder.

    Le sigh.

Twist the shut off valve for the tire inflation and off we go. Just a bad load to have it happen on… got 37k on the spread :/

I didn't think it was that bad either.? But I only had $15k worth of insurance on it. With the skyrocketing prices on parts it added up quick..

The low deck of the step went under the bunk, & crunched the battery box which saved the cab for the most part. Just a little bend. Bumper, & hood. Frame horn bent a bit , cowl got bent too. Bell housing cracked, input shaft bent, & paint of course. Maybe more, but that's as far as it went to exceed the insured amount..

At $4k,.the buy back seemed a bit steep.. Florida has a ~50 50 shot at the title coming back as salvage/parts only. Not a $4k gamble I was willing to take. Especially since they are "short staffed because the pandemic", so it was a 6-8 week wait to even get that answer..

The lady that was lost has been found.

Unfortunately it wasn't the outcome everyone hoped for.
