So we have officially decided to move. I will be buying my own truck and starting my own authority when we do. We live in CO and have narrowed down our choices to 3 states. OK, KS, and MO. Would any of these offer any advantages for an o/o? It seems like OK would have some cheaper fuel prices.
Best state for a new O/O?

Indiana has lots of low cost of living area. Not sure how you could go wrong near the cross roads of America.
ProfessionalNoticer and Nathan6452 Thank this. -

Id say if your gonna move, might as well make it worth your while where you can make a lot of money and be successful. Fly back home or take a load west to CO if homesick.
Edit: I moved a couple miles recently to a new house and my neighbor stopped by and in a roundabout way was trying to figure out if I was a lib or not. lmao. Come to find out he’s a local leader of the Republican Party.Tropsnart, mp4694330, JonJon78 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Haha nice. Yeah we wanna go to a red state definitely. CO has been becoming CA for a while now. We live in a small town so it’s not so bad but I work in Denver which is…ugh. And my company is going super woke. I’ve just had it here. Wife is sick of it too and wants a better place to raise our kids. She has just lived here her whole life so going too far scares her.
Midwest Trucker Thanks this. -

If I were to do MO or even KS it would have to be around Kansas City.. It seems that's where the most spot market freight is for those two. If OK, I'd have to be in Oklahoma City or maybe between it and Tusla. (edit I guess you could base around St Louis as well in MO)Speed_Drums and Nathan6452 Thank this. -
crocky Thanks this.
