Good job, you obviously have the discipline to make decisions that benefit your long term success, which is one of the reasons I’ve enjoyed reading the thread.
There’s a warning in here for those who simply see large sums of money and don’t think about taxes, healthcare, breakdowns, maintenance and retirement. I regularly speak with lease and new owner ops who’s first step is to go out and farkle their truck instead of increasing their savings.
Thanks for your update, I hope your operation keeps churning along…

But, that said, I moving out of the whole thing.
The thing that no one tells you is that owning / leasing a truck (if you have your head screwed on right), is a 24/7, 365 day proposition.
I'm 61, and I've got everything nearly paid off and have a bit of money in the bank.
I'm going local by the hour.
I don't need the headache any more.
All that said......yes, with Schneider lease you can make a very nice living. My decision to bail out has nothing whatsoever to do with Schneider, it's just a life choice. If I had to do it over again, I would in a heart beat. BUT, you have to be focused and driven to a goal. As a 61 year old man, I have not always made the best decisions, but they were mine and I lived with them. But, this is one of those rare time in my life, I won.Hegemeister, 48Packard, Speed_Drums and 8 others Thank this. -

Please don't lock this thread. I enjoy reading it. Besides maybe someday Freightwipper might ressurrect from the ashes under a different name or his own.

I had never saw this thread until last night.. Pretty wild! You guys would know more then me but I don’t see any reason in locking it. The guy failed and was ashamed. It happens. The only embarrassing thing is faking his own death but heck, live and learn on that too I guess. I’d be mad if I was several of you though who opened up your lives and genuinely were upset about it.
I’ll tell you what struck me was seeing farmerbob showing respect to him, not knowing he would be actually dead himself just a couple years later. That’s what pisses me off.dwells40, Opus, Speed_Drums and 4 others Thank this. -
The Staff talked it over and the thread will remain open for the time being. There's a lot of good information and if we delete the thread nobody will have access to any of it.
People make mistakes. We learn from them and we go on. People fail but they need to know that that isn't the end of the line.njt1313, donnieboy, I.cant.drive55 and 10 others Thank this. -
