Kind of like my first encounter with TX courtesy...In POV headed to Round Rock. On 79; between Marshall and Henderson, pickup bottling along, I leaned out a little an he dove half off. Puzzled , I slacked off, he straightened up. We did this twice, I said (threaded fastener you) and sacked him up. Must be on dope, or playing games. Daughter told me when I mentioned it, he was giving you room to pass. Strange, in MS we make you earn it.

Last summer I helped a flatbedder shift a 30k pound frame work 12 inches toward the rear of his trailer. We each attached a chain to the rear of his trailer and then to the back of the frame work, then we used snap binders and cheater bars to pull the frame work backwards. Took us about 30 mins to shift 12 inches. I was glad to help and later he brought a burger and fries to my truck from a nearby diner. Guy had to be about 60 and I just couldnt sit there and let him struggle with it by himself.

Sweats those limpy poisons out, cleanses your surfaces. And when you get a one piece over a 34' load of bale cotton, wipe your face, climb in and move out....
Such a feeling of accomplishment some people will never know. Then the thrill of expectation of it getting loose and falling off...It's tense..

And 90% of others would be on phone to dispatch requesting they get a 30K crane out there, gotta move this whole thing back.
One of my partners in the forklift business; who did time in combat engineers in WWII (there is a fine story in that too), had a saying.
"Give me a prime mover,100 ft of cable, 2 snatch blocks and I will move the world to where you want it".

That's not my load. It's my dog. She's a good dog. Those APCs. They look like V150s. A late viet nam era design. They were sold to a fair number of nations with different weapon configurations.
