back in the early 1990's, i had to take several flights. TWA, and Delta.
back then, the flight attendants were as friendly as can be, you could have all the peanuts you wanted (i cannot eat them) so i was given crackers...all that i wanted.
i was at one time, sitting over the wing, that was my seat assignment. but the plane was nearly empty, and the flight attendant asked if i wanted a window seat and i couldn;t be any happier.
to me, great times.
however, thanks in part to the terrorist attacks, and some passengers that are frankly belligerent and demanding, i think the shift to "people control" came into play.
however, i think it has gone too far..flight attendants kicking mom's off a flight, cuz her 2 year old would not wear a mask.>???
c'mon...anyone ever try to force a 2 year old to do anything they don't want to..???
couple this with flight delays, bumping people off reserved flights, and a list of other BS the airlines pull, and all this covid crap, and people stressed beyond belief these days, can we see more violence against the airline workers..???
if we are going to be treated like animals going to slaughter, people will revolt, any way they can.
i blame the airlines for all the crap they do to the passengers, before, and during the flights, as well as the airports being culpable for instigating all the crap as well.
had strict security measures been put into place WELL BEFORE 9-11, much of this would all be second nature to the traveler. seems to me, from my readings on airline violence, it's an "american thing"....
more so than any other country's airlines.
but you're gonna bull whip us..??
we're gonna fight back.
and that's a fact.

Yep, Emirates is a great airline today. However, back in the early 80s your only choice on a direct flight to Houston out of Saudi Arabia was the green latrine. Back then if you wanted a truly first class experience flying from the US to Saudi Arabia and back was to fly Singapore airlines and that was an incredible experience, but it took two calendar days.

I thought Korean Air was a great top notch airline until I flew Singapore Airlines. If I ever get to fly them again, I will.

Sometimes I'm the only foreigner on the flight, so the stewardess give me free beer; all I want.
I stop at 3 though. Don't serve my favorite though:

9/11 was 20 years ago. You are still taking off your shoes and belt to get on a plane. Think about it. You will never fly again without wearing your commie compliance mask.

I refuse to fly anywhere. Theres still one experience that equals flying in the 70s - Amtrak.
Except if you are travelling in coach, theres always one broad with an attitude who's on her #### phone the entire trip, using her big ##### voice. The answer to that is a cabin.JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
