I haven't seen anybody drive twin stick like that in a long time either, but I think now days it may be referred to as distracted driving by those "other folks", the ones that can't chew gum and walk at the same time.

Notice the bends/closeness location of the levers.. Bet it did not leave assembly line that way. We used to heat and reposition the old manual range control RR shift levers in toward our leg and more to the rear of cab. Could just toddle along with hand on knob, but almost aligned as hand resting on your thigh.

That little Mack's levers (5-Duplex) protruded about a foot out of the cab boot. Short throw on the knobs end. A couple of its shifts could be one hand, with thumb wide out left and 3rd and 4th fingers splayed, push down slowly, clinch hand as crossed N. . Think 2 hi to 3rd lo. (Would need pattern sticker to be sure.)

2014 fontaine infinity. Nothing special. Think its because its a combo trailer. Steel frame and aluminum deck. If it was an all aluminum , no chance id be pulling it anymore.
