That car is cool so to hell with you. By the way, the big roof rack is ugly and just clamps on, and the previous owner wants it back.
-
My uncle had a Volvo just like that one.....except it was all black and looked sharp in spite of the boxiness.
-
Mine doesnt look sharp? Honestly, I have another one that i've thought about painting black but i'm just going to part it out probably. The best looking one i ever saw was red, but those command a higher price. The majority are silver. I'm going to convert mine to a stick shift.
I like them because of the boxiness. Also not a common car in my area at all. Turns a lot of heads, especially when i had two parked in my driveway! -
I had two of those old wagons. An old indestructible 83 and an 87 turbo. Good running cars.

The person driving the Prius is dang near guaranteed to do something stupid in traffic. The Prius sitting in the parking lot with the obama bumper sticker on the back is guaranteed to have their car alarm tested by boot.
Rednecks in pickup trucks get an automatic free pass from me; their kind of stupid is allowed
MattyC, Owner's Operator and outerspacehillbilly Thank this. -
Mainly minivans and SUVs, and as Sabine mentioned, cars with handicapped plates.

Maybe unique to my area, we have a lot of foreigners down here. They go from living on an island riding bicycles to puttin' on I-95 at 35mph. They usually drive beat up Hondas, Toyotas and Nissans.
Sure, the Mercedes and Beemer drivers THINK they are good drivers. They just don't realize those other things on the road are vehicles, not pylons. That and not everyone on the road is running a race. -
well my 90 is getting ready to be a turbo.
how do you know its indestructible? -
From the miles I put on it and the new harley fat boy that ran right into the back one day that did nothing but knock a bit of trim off. That was the 83 though. The 87 succumbed to severe electrical problems after treating it too much like a race car. Come to think of it, my little sister destroyed a Taurus with the 83 long before I got it. New hood, fender, headlight and it was fine.
