    Why I despise T/A.

Was not my first choice, but was what I needed to do. Stopped at the T/A in Willcox, AZ.
Half the fuel pumps out of service. One of them was crushed and mangled, definitely was run over. This created the mother of all clusters in the driveway and street. They are also rationing fuel. Pumps are set to only deliver 60 gallons, then shut off. The excuse was fuel shortages. This is the place that has a rail side and a 30,000 gallon storage tank out back. Cash price at pump, 3.999.

Reminds me of a conversation I had while on hold for a telephone meeting with a bunch of folks from other offices around the globe.......

Was back in the mid 1980s when the soviets were the subject of most of the worlds and U.S. fear. They had recently done some kind of ICBM test.

One of the folks asked if I was worried about getting hit with a nuke. Calmly explained that there were a dozen viable targets around the SF bay area to hit so pretty sure several would be sent my way. I would rather the gov't did not issue a warning of the imminent arrival to minimize the pain and suffering as the general population ran around and did stupid stuff before the strike. If they did give a warning, I would grab a few bottles from the fridge, lawn chair, and sunglasses on the way to the roof. That way I could try to see the blast before my eyeballs evaporated.

For some reason all the chatter stopped......

I thought once about buying on of those Mississippi barges and converting it.
Just roll up and down the Mississippi.
Still sounds like an awesome idea, but age and give a **** has thwarted an otherwise great plan.
That, and I don't have that kind of money.

Poor dude pulling a Dollar General trailer did the same thing today at the entrance to the Pilot just outside of Dallas.
    It was totally messed up.
So, I park and go get some Long John Silvers....
Dude comes in, orders some stuff, chick says,"it's gonna be a minute, we're short handed. "
Dude says, "no problem. That's me blocking your driveway. Got a busted airline to the trailer. "

And, while there are so many questions I could have asked, I did not. I ate the rest of my Hush Puppies and rolled on.
LJS has some awesome hush Puppies. Wasn't going to risk it
