Even at 13500…. It’s gotta be more than that for that weight

If it was posted at say 25k and the broker was loosing 5k would you say the price is too high and do it for 20k or maybe even 19k so the broker could make some money? I mean it would only be fair right?

there are very likely 2 things going on here. The first broker is very likely fishing for interest with the price but likely doesn’t have the load firm.

the second broker is almost surely trying to double or co- broker the load by reposting it for less hoping to get a truck and make some of the spread.

as far as the load itself - there is not quite enough information to rate it with any accuracy. At 109k it is going to require a west coast 9 axle (I have been a 10/11 axle running those lanes for quite awhile).
If the load requires the full length n the well or if it stupid tall or stupid wide - those are all things that change the rate substantially - especially the long well or over 15 3 tall.
So the answer is - if you have the equipment to move that load you should have the savvy to know what rate will work and not take less. Running Multiaxle trailers is different due to the cost involved and there are really no backhaul scenarios where it is bet to load a break even or losing piece versus just moving empty. Big trailers very often do more empty miles than loaded miles.

    hope this helps

If this was a load posted on a landstar load board it would be paying at least $25k for a fact. Landstar takes 25% so the more you make the more they make, most OSOW loads pay 18 to 25 per mile and super loads start at $28 to $40 a mile so just imagine how much money those brokers are ripping off the regular boards

I WOULDNT TRUST LANDSTAR. THERE IS A REASON THEY CANT CALL ANY OF THE TOP 50 BROKERAGES NATIONWIDE TO BOOK ANY FREIGHT AND EACH LANDSATR LOCATION HAS ABOUT 25 FREIGHT GUARD REPORTS. IF YOU THINK BROKERS ARE MAKING RIPS LIKE THIS THEN ID ADVISE YOU TO QUIT DRIVING AND START A BROKERAGE. HONESTLY, WITH WHAT IVE BEEN PAYING TO MOVE FREIGHT LATELY, IM THINKING ON BUYING A RIG AND GETTING IN ON ALL OF THESE CRAZY RATES.

EDIT : TAKE ONE OF THOSE 2 WEEK TRUCKER CLASSES. LOL

Cheap freight is cheap freight, if you can't get the rates up then good luck getting it hauled. With a 109k pound load that's grossing #### near 200k pounds, about 99% of us sure as hell aren't gonna move that for $4 a mile when it's gonna cost $3 per mile for permits and a single pilot car, $1.50 a mile for fuel and $2.50 a mile to pay for the $600k in equipment especially when im seeing reefer loads going 1200+ miles paying $4.50 to $5 per mile

If you're trying to push super loads and the best you can do is $4 per mile then you're pushing the wrong kind of freight

Agreed cheap freight is cheap freight and customers are going to have to come to grips with rising cost to operate and start opening the check books, I have convos with them all of the time about why the arent covering their shipments for 2.00 per mile like we all know they would love to do. I dont touch the oversized loads or crazy stuff for the exact reason you mentioned, to many permits to much of a headache. Im normally paying 5000 for a 1100 mile reefer run, and now ive got carriers expecting 6000+ and asking 7000. Im not sure that going to be sustainable for much longer, especially when the quality of the carriers has really gone down hill lately.
