It’s the additive package that oil suppliers add to the oil that’s the problem. There’s a shortage of these additives available right now, and so the suppliers can’t sell oil with out adding these additives into the product.

They got 15 gallons at my local home depot this morning I snapped up immediately. Price is about 3 bucks more a gallon than I was paying 4 months or so ago.

Naw, though Covid is responsible for me having a truck at all. I bought put options against the SP500 right before the panic when it was just getting reported about in Italy. I didn't get rich because I wasn't confident enough to go all in but I did get a truck out and my authority because of it.

Edit: I have to confess to having about 9 fuel/oil/water seperator filters in the garage though.

I'm telling you. There were truck loads of Rotella showed up in Socal from somewhere a few days ago, and were looking to be moved.

Went to Tractor Supply in my area today. All they had was “Traveler” brand oil. Never heard of it..,anybody know if this is any good? They had 5 gallon buckets of it, but I didn’t get any…was hesitant since it wasn’t a brand I recognize.

Yes, Traveler is the house(generic)brand. It may be packaged by Shell, or Mobil, or Citgo, or Chevron, or any number of independent motor oil refineries.

Had a drum delivered to the shop the other day after someone said they were struggling getting oil. 050D25F6-24C8-420A-A752-17F77F6DC871.jpeg I change the oil at another shop that has a 300 gallon tote of oil that gets topped off every month. So this is just for top off and maybe a full oil change in a pinch? I also bought 2 cases of grease a few months ago too.
