Yeah ive looked at the phase converters and I really dont like the idea of my power bill going sky high after a long weekend at the lathe or mill.

Thank you for the info, I know a good electrician that I'll give a call when I get closer... He's done alot of work on commercial worksites I've been on in the past.

So my wife and I are sitting down at breakfast having some of my world famous pancakes. There was a bit of a lull in the conversation when we began to stare at one another realizing it was unusually quiet in the house. And then we figured it out. The A/C wasn't running! A touch of Fall has greeted South Texas.

You're current service that feeds the house.....I'm guessing it's an overhead drop.

Post a pic of the top of the pole it comes off of.

Cause you will pay for the service. Feeder wire is VERY expensive currently.

Even a few hundred feet You're looking at probably $5Kish just for the wire if they make you do a subterranean service.

Overhead would be a fraction of that but may not be allowed.

Post the pole with your service. If there's no 3 phase on it, it's kind of a moot point.

New mattress is here. It inflated once we punctured the two plastic bags. More fun watching the short wife trying to climb onto the bed.

2 bags, inflated? I am thinking, innerspring mattress.. Queen size dimensions, about 10 to 12 inches deep, one X large cardboard box. What sort of blow up did you get?

Yeah thats the next thing I need to check on... How much to brimg 3 phase in. I believe the nearest 3 phase is the main line that runs down the highway, which is about 150 yards away. The next closest option is about 1/2 a mile down my road there is 3 phase at an agricultural irrigation well. My neighbors have a farm yard directly behind my house... But I'm not sure if they have 3 phase power back there... I need to do some looking. If they have 3 phase to thier shop, its only 50 feet to where my shop will be.

I doubt they would run your service through his property.

The utility may if @Cattleman84 could get the neighbor to give them an easement for maintenance.

If I were the neighbor no way in this lifetime that would happen. Doesn't make them a bad neighbor just wouldn't sign away property rights to the utility.

I get to be "That Neighbor" soon.
Good guy across the street got cable/Phone dropped in. Junction box is on my side of the road. Utility company got his (not my) permission to run their line up to a utility pole on my property to feed across the road to the power pole and to his drop pole. The just threw it on the ground on my property. The utility company said they would come back and run it under the road. That was pre-covid. Now I get to be the prick that tells them it's time to do their job before I cut it out of my way as I build an access road to around the back side of my property.
