    All that cheap crap has made a Communist country a superpower that now has complete control of all our healing medications like antibiotics. They also send trojan horse containers here by thousands a week that never get screened. ANYTHING can be inside one of those metal boxes. China can take us over without ever firing a shot.

    Ha! I was thinking more like a deadly pathogen, virus or bombs. But anything is possible since the Feds do absolutely nothing to screen incoming containers.

    I saw the interview and footage on the pbd news hour. Thier are containers just sitting there empty stacked for miles. Problem is they are owned or leased by somebody. They cannot just be moved, unless the company who owns or leased them say they can.

    Hell Afghans here in Wisconsin get dental , medical and a private room at Ft Mcoy , and soon they will receive a 450k check.

    Obviously you don't watch the news. It was shown that it only takes 5 more days to get to FL from California. The ships are sitting out there for almost a month. Do the math.

    The math is easy. It's "follow the money". It would cost a fortune to move the ship from L.A. to Florida. Pilotage in and out, tugs, port costs, and the usual expenses just to run the ship. Have you seen what the rates are to use the Panama Canal?
    Once you get the ship to Florida, with all those containers that were scheduled for west coast ports, they'll have to be shipped back either by truck or by rail. Either way, the cost per container goes sky high. I don't imagine the shippers want to pay the extra costs and the receivers don't either.
    L.A. has always been a bottle neck, especially pre holidays. The port of Oakland has room but the ships won't even go that far unless they see money on the table.
