Just my figure of speech I guess. Its small compared to most mega companies. Last I heard, they have about 3000 trucks.
I understand that they probably have a lot of trailers in the yard near you, but they are mostly a drop & hook company. The group I work out of... working a GP short haul contract... we only have 14 drivers including 3 yard dogs & 2 city drivers but we have probably 200 - 300 trailers assigned to this account.
The manager we originally had got transferred to a larger grocery account in TN & is now over a 140 truck fleet. I imagine they have 1000+ trailers on that account. But, that's probably due to the fact that they probably have 100 stops on that account & they need maybe 20 trailers at some of those locations. Therefore, no telling how many trailers they have at various drop yards.
3000 trucks / 48 states is 62 trucks per state average. In my book, 3000 trucks ain't a mega but I guess it could be in some peoples view.
Cardinal Freight or Firstfleet??

I bet the advertised average is higher this year.
Makes it difficult for a company that puts out accurate information to recruit new drivers, but really easy to retain them when they see an honest $75k.Mike528 Thanks this. -
I believe it's the only way to get a realistic number now days
