Me and my dad looking for a company to lease on to, I have 2 years as company driver and he just got his cdl but no experience. We want to team drive. J.b hunt said they will lease me for 65%, their trailers, can use their 3rd party insurance for hopefully a good rate, fuel surcharge, etc and my dad could just company drive for 3 months and join me. Thoughts on that?
But we like the idea of a non mega carrier letting us lease on and we bang out miles. Currently I do about 2500 miles a week where I'm at (though sometimes 1800 to 2k) and home by Friday night.
We are sitting on enough cash to be prepared for any bs after buying truck.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Looking for someone to lease on to

Most of the folks on here will tell
You to just get your own MC number
that way you get 100% instead of 65%feldsforever, ProfessionalNoticer and Plsdontflip Thank this. -

Also luckily he's a little mechanically inclined and will be able to keep an eye on the truck. No repairs i think but he could definitely see something I would miss and have a better sense of the trucks "health" just from driving and listening as to where I will just blast metal and set the cruise like I do now lmaoSiinman Thanks this. -
65% of what?
Don’t think about the percentage, think about your bottom line and what it costs to you.blacklabel and Siinman Thank this. -
If JB was a good place to lease onto don’t you think they would have O/O’s all over the place? I couldn’t tell you the last time I seen someone leased onto them.
