What if it Snows?

Simple instructions
Pull to your door, place paperwork packet inside after opening trailer prior to hitting dock, slide tandems. Red light means loading, green light pull forward 10 feet, we will seal you and hand you paperwork.

I have now watched warehouse workers get 5 drivers out of their sleeper when they have been in dock less than 10 minutes.

 

Another silly question, why slide your tandems then?

 

(1) it changes the level of the tail of your trailer
(2) it provides a more stable platform.

Usually shippers/receivers require it as a catch all rule due to their loading/unloading dropped trailers as well as live loads. It also eliminates the trailer sinking as much during the loading process.

 

Never tried them.

Having never pulled anything with sliding axles, I am curious. Always wondered about the airlines also.
