How about you keep it the same name, there must be some equity value in its business name after all the years your mom and dad ran the place. If need a new corporate structure just put "current name" followed by Holdings, Inc. then just operate under the old name.

Dad suggested that we change it.
When he opened up his own company 40 years ago, he wasn't thinking about the future, and selling eventually. The company is his name, so at the very least we should take his given name off, and replace with our initials, or some mix of our given names.
Anela, Pandrea, AP, PA, Pamea, Anla, Paman, Anpa.

Why not just drop his first name and use your last name with enterprises, or trucking etc

Ah So... Did not think there was that much water in AZ to fill. Your pump/pressure system probably have a 30/40 gallon?

A name that has been in business 40 years is worth a lot. Being able to say (name trucking) Established 1981 is worth a lot. Knowing that if you keep your dad's name will act like a "Sword of Damocles" over you and your sister head making you work your backside off so you will never mess this huge opportunity up- is worth a lot.

OK Pam you know a 100 times more then me about trucking but before I retired in 07 at 42 I bought 8 companies and restructured them and sold them for a lot more; then I would ever want to pay from them even today. Always keep the name as there is value their, customers will stay, and if their are a few customers who ya'll lost over the years, they will come back when they learn their is a new owner.

Well, made it out of Minnesota just as traffic was getting bad leaving Minneapolis. We were forced to stop for the night where food options are grub in the truck or McDonald's. Good recaps on the way though. Screenshot_20211119-162522_KeepTruckin.jpg

I thought a retired member of "this thing of ours" confirmed a few years ago that Hoffa is under the cement at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in New Jersey.

We also plan to drop the 'Logging ' as the company hasn't had any actually logging equipment, except logging trucks, nor has it owned logging camps, and set them up in 20 years.
We only haul logs now, and haul other people's logging equipment for them. We do haul a lot of logging equipment, and logs though. We also haul diesel fuel to logging shows, and mines.
