Would've been. Made an offer of 50k and he accepted, got everything set up to wire the money. Bank said need a copy of the signed title. They refused. Wouldn't call to verify that funds were there either. Wanted money in the bank before they'd sign the title over. I said no way. You can call to verify that the funds are there but until you at least put my name as the buyer on that title they won't release the funds.

Guy did say that the amount offer stood and if I wanted to have a cashiers check he'd cover the plane ticket for me to fly back down.

The clutch let out right off the floor, the brake was hard to push but other than that it was in good shape. Had disc brakes too which I really really wanted.

Just had a funny feeling it wasn't going to happen when I got up this morning.

Hum hawed around waiting for them to get the title from his brothers office for a couple hours on the other side of Houston also. That combined with their refusal just frustrated the hell out of me and I told him I had a 9.5 hour drive back home and I'd have to think it over.

All in all it was a cluster and I'm just over it. Unfortunately nothing else is out there for a reasonable price right now, I've been looking the whole way home and have come up empty handed as far as pete/kw is concerned.

 

It's a good looking truck! I'd drive that. This market has made ###-holes out of many.....no doubt about it. My wife was talking about the current truck market earlier today. My buddy offered me $65k for my truck last month. Then called earlier today and told my wife he would give me $70k for it if he could come get it over the holiday week. Problem is, I don't know what I would replace it with right now. Because if I move, that is going to be 2 totally different trucks. I dunno what to do....ugh.

Well as far as paccar powered Pete's and kws I've not found squat worth buying. There's that real nice blue t800 I posted but 67k is well above what I'm willing to spend. Selling big red may have been a mistake it seems. But who knows. Maybe I'd have kept it and just lost my shirt on something that came up out of nowhere.

Just gotta roll with the punches.
