I hope so too, Carter. I've been having similar issues, tho nothing really serious. I'll know more after next week, after I get a "full-service" on my truck. I'm planning to quit in July, so I'm really hoping to ride it out until then.
I will say they have been much more timely in reimbursing tolls, expenses, etc., in the last several weeks. A pleasant surprise.
The last "full service" I got (over 39,000 miles ago) was much less than impressive. Darn near NOTHING fixed; came back to a flat tire that I told them had a slow leak.
There will be no more cleaning of the truck before I go in to a terminal, because the mechanics will do nothing but trash it up w/ mud in floor & grease smeared across dash. I will clean AFTER I leave the terminal, and if it does not pass their "inspection" then so be it.
I keep their truck, which I live in, clean for myself, NOT for some stoopid company inspection! If it's not clean enough for them, then I'll just move out because it sure a $#!^ wont be clean enough for me.
Oops! Did I ramble on? Sorry!

If i have a repair or safety problem it gets fixed no problem. It is your responsibility to report the repair needing to be fixed.. yes they are cutiing back just like everyone else is, they have to so they can survive this tuff economy..There is people at every company on here that talk down about them to make themselves or there situation look better..I hardly ever sit waiting on a load and never have a problem getting paid what is owed to me. You can make it what you want. Is this the best company to work for no, is it the worst no, but it is not a bad company Seems funny ever since this forum started tmc has been in financial trouble or is going under but that has not happened..

That could happen and it would be bad for a lot of people, but i doubt they would leave all there trucks where ever they are sitting in the u.s. I have enough money to get home if needed... ''same old cheary me'' is what you said, is it because you are used to reading and writing everything negative on here. It is a new year why don't you try to see the good in things everyone could be without a job...

I fixed the heat in the sleeper myself, the hot water valve was shut off. I didn't know the big cat has 3 hot water valves.
I got my truck back from service with the cap on the radiator overflow tank missing and they forgot to grease the steering. I have been servicing trucks for 5 years, I know when they forgot to grease something. I went to a Pete dealer and got a new cap and topped off the antifreeze, grabbed my grease gun and greased the steering and sent the shop a message saying I had fixed what they had neglected.
what do they say? "what happened to your radiator cap driver?" I explained it was missing when I got the truck back. then, it was "where did you get the cap and what kind, driver?" ... it's things like this that make it frustrating to work here. I don't mind doing the work, I don't want a pat on the back, I just want things to go smoothly for once and they never do.
I'll post the situation with safety later as it is an ongoing issue, not anything I did wrong, but still. -
it's not productive/enjoyable for me to work here anymore. -
You didn't catch the missing cap on your pretrip?
