The main rile for losing weight is :

If it tastes good , you can’t eat it .

    congrats on the progress .
You can do it , it just takes some time .

Glad you are still chugging along. You are very brave. Congrats on making such wonderful progress on weight loss. I know how hard that can be.

Any chance of you jumping back in a truck?

I’ve been thinking about it. Nothing concrete, but I’m eyeing a couple of places I may jump on. If I can’t get on with my county road commission I may be tempted to go back out, but not nearly as long as before. 2 weeks out tops.

Wow. Nothing has changed. There’s the select few who can make it work and know what’s going on from Go. And there’s the army of Noobs that were lured by the shiny truck and potentially big paydays. The Noobs fail and try to “warn” us of the traps. Sure, there’s more than a few traps and companies that suck, but for the most part, it is what you make of it.

The only reason I’m hesitant about going back to running a business, is that it’s a heck of a lot of work and I’m not sure I’m motivated to do it.

a long time ago, an old trucker put that spark in me saying “you can be a company man, or you can be your own man”

that was burnt into my brain for over a decade, and I did it. The timing is never perfect, but from the outside looking in, it looks pretty volatile. A year ago truckers were heroes, now they’re to blame for shelves being empty and gas prices. (None of which is accurate)

maybe I need to be a yes man with benefits and a retirement plan.
    however…that freedom man. That freedom.

The Earth is covered in mostly water…that water is not carbonated. Thus…Flat Earth.

I’m about to drive the family to Disney world. I’m taking a roundabout way to avoid Atlanta. Both on the way there and back. My father in law is staying in southern Alabama for the cold months, so we visit him on the way back.
This trip will let me know if I still have the endurance and wits to keep it going. Starting from norther Michigan and staying in Beckley WV night 1, then Brunswick Georgia night 2, then they want to have “cake by the ocean “, so I’ll just go to St. Augustine beach. Then Orlando. Not my choice of travel days. It’s all my wife’s planning.
