One thing I do like about the '89, the hood tips forward, easier access..

If it was me they would be replacing all the bearings and mic'ing the bearing surfaces on the spindles as well as the seal surface and if any was out of spec they would be buying you a new spindle PDQ!
I would be insisting that they report the micrometer readings and specs to you in the lounge area before anything starts to be re-installed and that you be allowed to inspect the work before the caps go on.
Do yourself a favor and buy some assembly line and hand it to the mechanic and TELL him to prelube the bearings before assembly.DeereRunner97, singlescrewshaker, Brettj3876 and 10 others Thank this. -
Relax, those rings will wear off in a month or so.
The rings are better than putting a slippery surface between the load and trailer.DeereRunner97, singlescrewshaker, Brettj3876 and 11 others Thank this. -

Two and a half cords of wood dropped off out of a dump truck has now been stacked.
Wood splitter is on my list of "to gets" so I can cull a couple trees in the woods and cut out the middle man next year.DeereRunner97, singlescrewshaker, Brettj3876 and 11 others Thank this. -
There are still good folks out there. They are just an extreme minority now.DeereRunner97, singlescrewshaker, Brettj3876 and 15 others Thank this.

I always thought they were pretty good trucks. Grandpa had one with a grain box and my dad had one with a dump and another with a scissor lift for roofing. I'd take one.DeereRunner97, singlescrewshaker, Brettj3876 and 9 others Thank this.
