I was at ACT last week and there was at least 15 trailers on site, and picked up at Caravan within the last month. So, maybe they've got enough freight they needed more or better positioned trailers for an account????

@MidWest_MacDaddy how was the holiday party/awards banquet?

IH9300SBA Thanks this.

Other than that, it was a pretty nice gathering. Prizes for everyone. (Ended up with one of those Die Cast FCC Trucks myself)… Awards for everyone doing their jobs safely and acknowledged those with many many years of service to the company. (Two people were here for 35 & 45 years… WOW) Announced a few retirements and job shifts. Met several other drivers which is always nice.
Overall, with the exception of the wife falling prey to some bug, or undercooked chicken, it was a very nice event.
I think I know/understand why they schedule it over a holiday weekend, and it makes sense, but it’s too bad one must choose to either attend the company party or time with family, if one has family events to attend of course. Works fine for Office/Shop folks and Drivers from the Greater Omaha area, but makes for a tough decision for many with families who aren’t from a short haul away.
I know my family is too spread out, and getting thinner on numbers too, so gathering too often isn’t really an option, so it’s a nice option in that regard if one is looking for something to do over the holiday I suppose too.
I’d say if you are from the area or going to be in the area, and it doesn’t conflict with being with any family events, it’s worth requesting to be in the Omaha area for a day or two for it. I noticed a few bobtails in the parking lot so I know I wasn’t the only one from out of town there. Good option to save on the hotel cost too by just staying in the Truck, but it was a nice hotel to get out and away from the truck for a bit too.
Thank You FCC for putting on such a nice event.Michael1771, xlsdraw, IH9300SBA and 4 others Thank this. -

Before I came on, I was outside their hiring area but I was in South Florida. I think that they might hire if north of Orlando.
I’d be happy to get more firm details if you want.
Also, you have to change your screen name… just saying… lolcdavis188, Michael1771, runningman0661 and 3 others Thank this. -
Regarding the new drop lot at american trailer in kansas city, word has it that reps from fremont were down here friday scouting new properties to move us out of there. Local guys said they have been having alot of issues at the property with druggies and they also had someone drive by the lot and fire 10 gunshots or so into the drop lot. Hopefully they can get that ball rolling pretty quickly, not a fan of that new lot at all
BigR, drvrtech77 and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
